Biography
Vanya Szabo was born and raised in Bulgaria and moved to the White Mountains of Arizona in 2000. She joined the Center in 2006 and served as coordinator for Feast for the Future, Native Vision and Training of Field Staff programs at the Whiteriver site. She also managed the business incubator for Arrowhead Business Group and was intimately involved in the development of the Arrowhead Cafe. She aided participating students in the development and execution of business plans tailored to their interests, managed funds awarded to students for supply costs, kept inventory of business operating materials, and connected students and incubator members with community resources including training.
She is currently working on the admin team at the Pinetop office, assisting with purchasing, building maintenance and program operations. Some of Vanyas hobbies are making chocolate, sourdough bread, hiking and kayaking.
