Biography
Dennie is White Mountain Apache and San Carlos Apache from her mother’s side and Filipino from her father’s side. She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in December of 2018, working as a Research Program Coordinator in Whiteriver, AZ. She has worked on numerous studies such as the RSV SuNA Study, HI Carriage Surveillance, Active Bacterial Surveillance, Pfizer Covid-19 Study, Seroprevalence Study, and the Convalescent Plasma Study.
Prior to joining the Center, Dennie worked at Summit Health Care where she worked in the hospital laboratory as a Laboratory Assistant II and in the Urology clinic as an NCCT Certified Medical Assistant. She has been in the health field for over 6 years.
She has always wanted to work with Indigenous communities and when the opportunity arose to work for the Center, she was beyond thrilled. Dennie is passionate about her work and furthering her education. She is currently working on her bachelors degree and is enrolled at Northern Pioneer college and Arizona State University.
