The “Together Overcoming Diabetes” (TOD) program is a home-based, family-centered intervention designed to address the growing concerns of type 2 diabetes and its impact on American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities. First developed with White Mountain Apache and Navajo communities in the Southwest, the intervention was adapted by Ojibwe communities in the Great Lakes, and now TOD expands to the Great Plains.

Registration is open for the 2026 Johns Hopkins Global Health Summer Institute! We are excited to offer several week-long courses in Indigenous public health this summer.

Three are new courses that are part of our upcoming Indigenous Health DrPH curriculum. This is the only year these courses will be offered during Summer Institute, so don’t miss the opportunity to “test run” them before applying to the full program. Deadline for scholarships is April 1.
