Ya’at’eeh! Mr. Cody R. Elliott is a proud member of the Navajo Nation, coming from the small community of Lukachukai, AZ that is right alongside the beautiful Chuksa Mountain ranges. Mr. Elliott’s Navajo clans are as follows being Maii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote-Pass Clan), born for Tabaahi (Big Water Edge Clan), his maternal grandfathers are Ta’neezahani (Tangle Clan), & his paternal grandfathers are Tachiinii (Red Running into Water). Being the oldest amongst his four younger siblings, & has a Siberian husky as a child, he enjoys weightlifting, listening to any kind of music, hiking, cooking/baking, & binge watching his favorite shows.
Mr. Elliott had joined the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health in January of 2025 as a research program assistant. He primarily works with the Project A.W.A.R.E. Wildcats (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education) team in Chinle, AZ. Mr. Elliott’s work with PAWs includes implementing mental health-related promotion, awareness, prevention, intervention, & resilience activities to ensure that Chinle Unified School District students, families, & the wider community have access to appropriate & effective care. Mr. Elliott earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Dine College in Tsaile, AZ. Along with earning his Associate of Arts degree in Social & Behavioral Sciences. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, Mr. Elliott worked in various internship positions with Dine College, such as the first-year experience program, residence life program, athletics department, & with the career education program. Mr. Elliott had also picked up an internship alongside the Arizona Native Vote organization.
