About
Ashelyne is Tsi’naajinii (Black Streaked Wood People), born for Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House People). She joined the center in April of 2026. Ashelyne works as a Health Educator with the +Language is Medicine RCT. She will be working with caregivers of infants and toddlers. Her work focuses on supporting early childhood development through culturally grounded education and family engagement.
Prior to this role, she worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher for different local school districts around the Navajo Nation, where she built a strong foundation. She has deep roots in early childhood education and a strong passion for supporting and advocating for Diné children. As a mother, her dedication to early childhood intervention and overall community wellness has grown even stronger.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and family, as well as engaging in creative outlets such as photography, painting, and graphic designing. Ashelyne hopes to finish her schooling and continue to create a positive environment for young children to grow.
