  • The Well-Being Scale in Lickan-Antay People (BLA32) was developed by Gutiérrez-Carmona et al. (2019) to assess well-being in Indigenous Andean communities, specifically the Lickan-Antay people. The 32-item measure uses a six-point Likert-type response scale (1 = totally disagree; 6 = totally agree) and captures well-being across five interconnected domains:
    • Internal harmony (e.g., clarity of life goals, capacity to face challenges)
    • Harmony in community life (e.g., respect among community members, mutual support)
    • Harmony in society (e.g., fulfillment of basic needs, state support for communities)
    • Harmony in ethnic-cultural development (e.g., cultural pride, valuing worldview)
    • Harmony with nature (e.g., respectful relationship with animals, plants, and natural cycles)

The scale was designed within a culturally grounded framework, reflecting Indigenous Andean worldviews of well-being that emphasize interconnectedness with family, community, society, culture, and nature.
