Meet the Great Plains Hub Team


Donald Warne, MD, MPH (Oglala Lakota) is the Center for Indigenous Health’s co-director and director of the Great Plains Hub. He also serves as the Provost Fellow for Indigenous Health Policy at JHBSPH. Dr. Warne is the Senior Policy Advisor to the Great Plains Tribal Leader’s Health Board in Rapid City, SD.
 

Courtney Claussen, PhD, MPH  (Cheyenne River Lakota) is a Research Associate for the Great Plains Together Overcoming Diabetes study. Her passions include the interconnectedness of Indigenous health from a holistic and strengths-based lens; at the community, national, and international levels.
 

Jordyn Gunville-Pourier, PhD, MPH  (Cheyenne River Sioux) is managing the Improving Lung Cancer Control Among American Indians in the Northern Plains study. Her passions include serving her and other American Indian communities to improve the overall health of community members by addressing the social determinants of health.  Jordyn’s research focuses on Tobacco Cessation, Health Policy, Social Determinants of Health, Indigenous Health, and Access to Healthcare.

Loretta Grey Cloud (Kul Wicasa Lakota, Hunkpati Dakota) is a Program Coordinator at the Center for Indigenous Health. Loretta will work closely with the Great Plains Hub team members to provide project-based support. Loretta’s passions include mentoring American Indian students through their post high school academic journeys. Hosting summer interns and young professionals in the DC area brings her family joy.
