Biography

Angie is an enrolled member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe. She has been employed with the Center for eight years. Through the years, she’s worked on various different projects in different capacity. She is currently serving as a member of the Celebrating Life Project, a suicide surveillance project in partnership with the White Mountain Apache Tribe.

Ms. Lee is trained to provide support for families who have lost a loved one to suicide (Survivors of Suicide) and a certified trainer in Sources of Strength, an anti-bullying, anti-suicide peer support program geared toward young Native American youth and Adults Mentors.

She has worked closely with the community and has done community outreach with follow-up referrals for individuals who have engaged in suicidal behaviors (suicide attempt, self-injurious behavior, binge drinking and ideations). Collected qualitative data through in-depth interviews with youth who had attempted suicide. Ms. Lee works closely with elders in her community and has assisted elders in delivering their curriculum in the schools.
