
Biography
Felix is from the Salt River-Pima Maricopa Indian Community and is Onk Akimel O’odham, Tohono O’odham, and Hualapai. He joined the Center in August of 2024 as an Assistant Scientist. Felix has a BS in Psychology and Mathematics (Statistics), an MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Psychology (Quantitative Research Methods), all from Arizona State University.
Felix is interested in supporting the mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health of Indigenous Peoples through the development of culturally grounded interventions and statistical methods. He has experience developing culturally and community aligned statistical methods, and conducting research with international Indigenous health organizations. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with the land and loved ones, being in community, and playing basketball. He plans on spending more time with the Three Sisters – ha:l, hu:ñ, ba:vǐ.
Felix is based in Hawai’i and Arizona.
