Biography

Starla is of the Bitter Water clan and born for the Mexican clan. Starla was born in Winslow, Arizona and raised in Many Farms, Arizona. For over 11 years, she held employment with the Indian Health Services (I.H.S,) as a Certified Nurse Assistant, Health Technician, and a Registered Nurse. She has had the pleasure of working in the Pediatric Outpatient department, Emergency Room, Adult Primary Care Medicine Clinic, and the Obstetrics Care Unit. A few things Starla likes to do with her husband and their son and daughter are traveling, playing softball, and working on our family’s ranch. The healthcare field is constantly changing and every new day provides new opportunities to learn.

Starla says, “It is such a blessing and an honor to start with Johns Hopkins University and to begin another exciting journey in providing care to our families, friends, and community members.”
