About
Adam joined the Center in July of 2024. As Associate Director of Operations for the Great Lakes Hub, he supports the administration of the center’s research and works cross-functionally to facilitate study implementation.
Prior to joining the Center, Adam worked largely in global public health and community-based social services. With postings in Azerbaijan, the Republic of Georgia, Jordan, and Syria his work focused on the design and implementation of programs to strengthen primary care services funded by USAID, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization. During this period, he had the opportunity to work directly with communities affected by conflict, displacement, and health disparities. It was in this capacity that he developed a passion for working in community health. Most recently, Adam served as the Director of Strategy and Development for the Community Health Worker Institute at Montefiore Health System in the Bronx, New York. His work focused on developing and scaling a team of community health workers to address social determinants of health among Medicaid populations.
Adam has a BA degree in International Relations from George Washington University and a master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins. With the birth of his daughter, Adam relocated to Duluth, MN, to be closer to his wife’s family. He enjoys portaging in the Boundary Waters, skiing, tennis, live music, and spending time with family.
