About
Ashelyne is Tsi’naajinii (Black Streaked Wood People), born for Kinyaa’áanii (Towering House People).
I currently serve as a Health Educator, where I provide Diné children and their caregivers with the +Language is Medicine curriculum as part of the intervention arm of a randomized controlled study. My work focuses on supporting early childhood development through culturally grounded education and family engagement.
Prior to this role, I worked as a pre-kindergarten teacher, where I built a strong foundation in early childhood education. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education at the University of New Mexico, further strengthening my commitment to this field.
I have deep roots in early childhood education and a strong passion for supporting and advocating for Diné children and families. As a mother, my dedication to early childhood intervention and community wellness has grown even stronger.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending quality time with my daughter and family, as well as engaging in creative outlets such as photography and painting.
