About

Brittany, a member of the Diné Nation, is Dził tł’ahnii (Mountain Cove clan), born for the Honágháahnii (One-Walk-Around clan). Her maternal grandpa is of the Todích’íí’nii (Bitter Water clan), and her paternal grandpa is Tsi’ naajíníí (Black Streak Wood People clan). She joined the Center in January of 2026. Brittany works as a Family Health Educator in Fort Defiance, AZ, and is involved in implementing the behavioral health program called Family Spirit.

Before joining the Center, Brittany worked as a Security Officer at Tsehootsooi Medical Center. Brittany has been a Domestic Violence and Victim Services Advocate for the past three years. During this period, she had the opportunity to work with the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women, an organization largely focused on advocating for Domestic Violence victims and survivors, and American Indian Development Associates, an organization focused on victim services advocacy. It was in this capacity that she developed a passion for working in community health to improve the health of the Navajo Nation communities.

Brittany has an AA degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Mexico-Gallup and would like to pursue a bachelor’s in Criminology. Brittany also plans to attend Navajo Technical University for their Law Advocate program. In her spare time, Brittany finds solace in reading and beading jewelry, as well as weaving. Brittany hopes to strengthen the surrounding communities by empowering mothers with knowledge for their children and encouraging positive interactions, which breaks the cycle of violence.
