Dianne Amiotte-Seidel, MA, an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux Tribe from the Pine Ridge Reservation, serves as the Senior Research Project Coordinator II for the Great Plains Together Overcoming Diabetes project, located in Rapid City, South Dakota. She is deeply passionate about helping Indigenous youth and adults overcome diabetes. With extensive experience in community-based program development, diabetes prevention, and culturally grounded interventions, Dianne has worked on initiatives that include Native American food systems, buffalo restoration, and community health improvement across various tribal communities.
Dianne holds a Bachelor of Science in American Indian Studies with a Minor in Sociology from Black Hills State University, as well as a Master of Arts in Lakota Leadership Management from Oglala Lakota College in Kyle, South Dakota. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
