About

Taishiana is a member of the Navajo Nation and is One Who Walks Around Clan (Hónághaanii), born for Water’s Edge Clan (Tábaahá). Her maternal grandparents are Black Sheep Clan (Dibé Lízhíní) and her paternal grandparents are Water Flowing Together Clan (Tó’heedliinii). She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in 2022 and is based at our Fort Defiance, Arizona office.

Previously, Taishiana’s focus at the Center was on water access and water safety for the Navajo Nation through the Diné Household Water Survey. Now, she works with our Communications and External Affairs team to coordinate community outreach efforts, develop social media content, and strives to education public health education to her people. Taishiana earned her BA degree in Sociology from Susquehanna University. She’s usually seen going on adventures with her rez pubby or making new plans with her family in Houck, Arizona.
