The Center for Indigenous Health (CIH) is proud to announce the launch of the CIRCLE Center of Excellence’s Measurement Repository, a new, centralized resource designed to support Indigenous communities, scholars, and allied partners in assessing various aspects of Indigenous well-being.

The Mmeasurement Rrepository brings together validated and reliable measurement tools in one accessible location, offering users a curated collection of existing Indigenous scales, developed measures with evidence of use, scoring instructions, and psychometric data. Most measures include links to download REDCap-formatted survey instruments, making it easier for users to incorporate them directly into studies.

Dr. Melissa Walls, Co-Director at CIH, says the repository fills a longstanding need in the field.

“This is the kind of tool I wished for when I was a graduate student over 20 years ago: a place where I could review measures used by other scholars, learn more about the breadth and depth of assessment tools used across American Indian, Alaska Native, and other Indigenous contexts, and a resource for sparking community conversations about surveys and research,” Walls says. “We hope this site is a useful tool to support culturally grounded, community-led health and wellbeing research globally. Huge thanks to the incredible CIRCLE and CIH team members who shared so much of their time to make this wish a reality.”
