Biography
Shantell, a member of the Diné Nation, is Naashł’ézhí dine‘é Tábaahí (Water edge Zuni clan) born for the Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle clan). Her maternal grandpa is of the Kinyaa’áanii (Towering house clan) and her paternal grandpa is Ma’ii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass clan). She joined the Center in July of 2021. Shantell works as a Research Program Assistant in Chinle, AZ with the Infectious Disease team.
Prior to joining the center, Shantell was in school completing her CNA Certificate. Before joining the Infectious Disease team Shantell worked with the community connectors delivering care packages to COVID positive families on the Navajo Nation.
Shantell enjoys the outdoors, traveling and spending quality time with family.
