Biography
Jennifer is a member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. She grew up in Cloquet, MN where she still resides with her family. She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in September of 2022 as the Director of Operations. Her passion for working with her community and other indigenous communities is what lead her to the Center. Jennifer will be involved in guiding the overall development and operations for the successful implementation of the Center’s strategic plan.
For the last 11 years, Jennifer was part of a tribal health executive leadership team where she assisted with oversight of all services and programs, including Administrative Services, Behavioral Health, Social Services, and Substance Use Disorder. She was involved in developing, reviewing, and implementing program, department, and division-wide policies.
Jennifer has BS degree in Business Administration from Bemidji State University, an MBA from Concordia University, and certificates in Medical Transcription, Coding, and Billing from MN State Community & Technical College. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being at the lake, walking with her dogs and reading.
