Biography
Taishiana is a member of the Navajo Nation and is One Who Walks Around Clan (Honaghaanii), born for Water’s Edge Clan (Tabaaha). Her maternal grandparents are Black Sheep Clan (Dibe Lizhini) and her paternal grandparents are Water Flowing Together Clan (To’heedliinii). She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in September of 2022 as a Research Assistant in Fort Defiance, Arizona with the Behavioral Health team.
Taishiana’s focus at the Center is on water access and water safety for the Navajo Nation through the Dine Household Water Survey. Taishiana has a BA degree in Sociology from Susquehanna University. She is usually accompanied by her rez pubby, listening to music, and marveling at the beauty of her homelands.
