Biography
Cassandra is currently a Health Promotion Coordinator with the Indian Health Service Health Promotion in Chinle, AZ. She manages the Health Promotion Department by ensuring they are working towards their vision and mission. She collects various data on the community, population, and school to make decisions and plan programs and services, while also assessing how the programs are doing. Cassandra has been a great asset to her community by researching available grants and applying when eligible. She received her Master of Administration with a concentration in Health Science from Northern Arizona University. She received her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Community Health from Northern Arizona University. She first learned about the JHCAIH through co-workers whom have participated in the program previously. She feels that participating in the institute courses will help in her personal life by being able to apply the Indigenous lens to every aspect of her interactions with her own family, elders in her community, at her work with her staff and stakeholders in her community.
