Biography
Lane Franklin currently works as a Physical Therapy Intern at the Tséhootsooí Medical Center in Fort Defiance, AZ, while also being a student. He currently observes and assists at the physical therapy clinic whenever needed, helping the people in his community regain their functionality. Lane received his Bachelor of Science from Fort Lewis College. In attending the Johns Hopkins Institute Introduction to American Indian Research Ethics course, he hopes to learn more about public health and how he can incorporate what he learned into his everyday activities.
In the future, he wants to be able to encourage the clinic he works in to use more data collection to see where they can improve. He also wants to implement policy change in his community to improve habits for his people. In the future, Lane is determined to finish Physical Therapy School and go onto to get a degree in Public Health. All he truly wants is to be working directly with Indigenous communities.
