Zayveon Alonzo

Biography

Zayveon is of Filipino and Mexican descent. He officially joined the center in April of 2024. While not being native himself, Zayveon has volunteered under some indigenous health organizations such as Indian Health Services (IHS) where he shadowed under Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, PhysicalTherapy, and Native Medicine among many other departments. He now works as a Research Program Assistant in Chinle, AZ with the Azhe’e Bidziil (Strong Fathers) program.

Prior to joining the center, Zayveon was attending college at Northern Arizona University where he gained his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Nutrition. When not at work or school, he likes to play basketball, go on walks, or spend time with family.
