Biography
Adriann Ricker is a member of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes in Montana. She joined the Center for Indigenous Health as Research Associate. She is the on-site coordinator for the Little Holy One Research Project.
Prior to joining the Center, Adriann worked in research in various capacities on her reservation over the last twelve years. In addition to her research experience, she has also worked as an adjunct faculty at the Fort Peck Community College and as a healthcare administrator for a local tribal program.
Adriann has a BS in Health Promotion from Montana State University Billings, an MPH from A.T. Still University, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Indigenous Health from University of North Dakota. In addition to her professional obligations, Adriann enjoys participating in ceremonies, pow wows, volunteering in her community, watching her children participate in sports, and also is a sports broadcaster for an online radio station that she co-owns with her business partner, Nakoa Heavyrunner.
