Biography
Brandy’s clans are Naakai Dine (Mexican Clan), born for the Ashiihi (Salt Clan). Her maternal grandpa is of the Tł’ááshchí’í (Red Bottom people Clan) and my paternal grandpa is Táchii’nii (Red Running Into the-Water Clan). She is from Chinle, AZ but resides in Tsaile, AZ. Brandy joined the center in January of 2021 with the Infectious Disease team at the Chinle site as a Research Program Assistant working on several different studies to better understand different types of germs and illnesses circulating within their community.
Brandy now works with the Family Spirit Strengths Team as a site lead for the Chinle team. She has a three year old son and is the oldest of 3 younger siblings. Brandy is currently enrolled at Diné College pursing her BA in Biomedical Sciences in May 2025. She looks forward to expanding outreach skills within the community with the programs she works under to promote the health and well being of mothers and their children.
