Biography

Claudette Clitso, a member of the Diné Nation, is Kinyaa’aanii (Towering House Clan), born for the Tse deeshgiizhnii (Rock Gap Clan). Her maternal grandpa is of the Ma’ii Deeshgiizhnii (Coyote Pass- Jemez Clan) and her paternal grandpa is Ashiihnii (Salt People Clan). She joined the Center in January 2025 as a Research Program Assistant in Shiprock, NM and works with the Infectious Disease team.

Prior to joining the Center, Claudette worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) on and off the Navajo Reservation for over 12 years. During this period, she had the opportunity to work with various communities to promote health, wellness and provided emergency care when required.

Claudette has an associate degree in general studies from Coconino Community College and is currently pursuing a BA degree in Psychology from Dine College. In her free time, she likes to hike, explore new places, and loves to try new restaurants.
