Biography

Elciena, a member of the Diné Nation, is Todich’ii’nii Dine’e (Bitter Water Clan), born for Yé’ii Dine’é Táchii’nii Dine’e (Red Running into the Water Clan). Her maternal grandfather is of the Kinyaa’aanii Dine’e (Towering House Clan) and her paternal grandfather is of the T ł’ógi Dine’e (Weaver Zia Clan). She joined the Center in September 2023.

Elciena is working as a Research Program Assistant in Fort Defiance, AZ assigned to the Diné Household Water Survey project. Prior to joining the Center, Elciena has acquired a diverse background which include service in the Armed Forces, medical office administration, senior care management, veteran advocacy, and property management.
