Kathleen Hennessy

Biography

Kathleen joined the Center for Indigenous Health in September of 2020. She is a communications lead and project manager and also coordinates community outreach across Navajo Nation. Based in Gallup, New Mexico, Kathleen brings experience working for social impact organizations, most recently as a grant writer at Partners in Health’s Navajo Nation-based nonprofit (COPE). In her current position, she strives to promote greater understanding of the Center’s work for both external audiences (in the Southwest and at a national level) as well as internally for Center staff based in diverse locations.

She has an MPH from Boston University and a BA in Sociology from Fordham University. In her free time, Kathleen enjoys hiking the many canyons and ridges of the area, cooking home-grown food and spending time with her family.
