Biography

Kimberly, a member of the Dine tribe, is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for the Dziłtł’ahniii (Mountain Cove Clan). Her maternal grandfather is Táchii’ni (Red Running into the Water Clan) and her paternal grandfather is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). Kimberly joined the Center for Indigenous Health in September of 2022. She works as a Research Program Assistant in Fort Defiance, AZ, where she assists with the Dine Household Water Survey Project.

Prior to joining the Center, Kimberly was involved in Indigenous health by taking part in a non-profit organization that specializes in community health outreach for various projects. During this period, she had the opportunity to work with Native American communities to learn, teach and mentor local youth. It was in this capacity, Kimberly developed a passion for community outreach and giving back to her Native communities.

Kimberly is currently pursuing her Associate of Science degree in Business Administration from Phoenix College. Kimberly plans to attend Arizona State University afterwards to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Biological Sciences.
