Biography

Mariah Lee is a member of the Diné Nation, originally from Many Farms, Arizona. She is Táchii’nii (Red Running into the Water People Clan), born forTábaahá (Water’s Edge Clan). Her maternal grandfather is Tsénjíkíní (Cliff Dwellers People Clan) and her paternal grandfather is Kínłichii’nii (Red HousePeople Clan). She joined the Center March 2024. Mariah is dedicated to serving Indigenous communities. In her new role as a Research Program Assistant for Project AWARE WILDCATS (PAWS), she applies her expertise to enhance student access to mental health interventions. Before joining the Center, Mariah contributed to clinical research projects as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah. She also gained valuable experience working with the Center, having completed her practicum as an intern with the Strong Fathers (Azhé’é Bidziil) team in Chinle, Arizona. Mariah earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Diné College in May 2023. She is passionate about community work and is eager to contribute to the behavioral health team.
