Marqia Sandoval

Biography

Marqia is an enrolled member of the Navajo tribe. Her clans are Ta’chii’nii, born for Ta’neeszahnii, her maternal grandfather are Tó’aheedli’inii, and her paternal grandfather are T’a’a’shchi’i’. Marqia lives in Many Farms, Arizona with her family and sheep. She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in 2013 as a Research Assistant with the Infectious Disease team.

Her current role is a Research Program Coordinator and her duties include implementing infectious disease projects at the local level, recruiting eligible participants, participating in community outreach meetings, collecting lab samples and data, and data entry. Marqia received her BS in Public Health from Diné College.
