Biography
Matthew, a member of the Dine tribe, is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan), born for the Dziłtł’ahniii (Mountain Cove Clan). His maternal grandfather is Táchii’ni (Red Running into the Water Clan) and his paternal grandfather is Kiyaa’áanii (Towering House Clan). Matthew joined the Center for Indigenous Health in April 2023. He currently works as a Research Program Assistant in Fort Defiance, AZ, where he assists with the Diné Household Water Survey Project.
Prior to joining the Center, Matthew graduated from Window Rock High School with the ambition to give back to the Navajo community. Matthew will be working with the Fort Defiance Behavioral Health team while actively preparing to begin university classes this coming 2023 Fall semester with Haskell University with a focus in Nursing (BS).
