
Biography
Mikenzie, a member of the Diné (Navajo) Nation, is Todich’ii’nii (Bitter Water Clan), born for Hooghanłáni (Many Hogans Clan). Her maternal grandpa is Bit’ahnii (Within His Cover Clan) and her paternal grandpa is Ta’neeszahnii (Tangle Clan). Mikenzie joined the Center in May of 2025. She works as a Research Program Assistant in Shiprock, NM and is involved in the Diné Household Water Survey program.
Mikenzie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from Northern Arizona University and plans to pursue a Master of Public Health degree. In her academic journey, she has gained previous research experience in maternal and family health, reproductive health, and immigration policy fields. Mikenzie enjoys cooking, hiking, camping, and spending time with family. She hopes to build meaningful connections with the community and create positive change in regard to water access on the Navajo Nation.
