Biography

Miracle is part of the Diné/ Navajo Tribe. Born and raised in Shiprock, NM, she is Hashtł’ishnii (Mud Clan), born for the Naahilii (African American people), her maternal grandfather is Táchii’nii (Red Running into water), and her paternal grandfather is Naahilii. Miracle joined the center in May 2025 as a Research Program Assistant. She works with the Diné Household Water Survey Team. She primarily works with the Naschitti community to recruit community members to participate in this survey. 

Prior to joining the Center, Miracle worked with both tribal and federal government as a Public Information Officer for the Navajo Abandoned Mine Lands Reclamation Department (NAMLRD). She acted as a liaison for the federal government contractors who were collecting information and data pertaining to the abandoned uranium mines around the Navajo Nation. She worked closely with both federal and tribal agencies to obtain findings and pass along to community members. She also worked with their STEM initiative, STEM-sation, as a lead for NAMLRD, where she participated in events geared toward teaching youth about various STEM opportunities and giving positive advice about finding work and higher education to bring back to the Navajo Nation. 

Miracle has a BA in English with a minor in Communications/Journalism. She is considering a master’s in her future. She has plans to become an author and hopes her work will help people with their mental and emotional health. She joined the Center because she is passionate about fostering positive community engagement, growth, and delivering clear, accessible information to her Navajo people. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, working out, video games, and traveling to see new cultures, new sights, and eat delicious food!
