Biography
Nina joined the Center for Indigenous Health in October of 2014. She is a study physician, who is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and works closely with the Chinle site’s Infectious Disease team on a myriad of projects aiming to improve the overall health status of the surrounding community.
After completing her residency training at Harvard Massachusetts General Hospital, she and her physician husband moved to Chinle, AZ in 2012 and both served as Medical Officers with the Indian Health Service. Although they originally hail from Florida and Louisiana, the southwest has become their home. The beautiful landscapes and strong communities of the Navajo Nation will forever inspire them.
In her free time, Nina enjoys exploring the southwest with her husband and two young sons. Hiking, camping, and photography are her favorite pastimes.
