Biography

Quinta is a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe. She is Dischiden (horizontally red people) but grew up on the Fort Apache Indian reservation located in the beautiful White Mountains. She joined the Center in November of 2024 as a Research Program Assistant in Whiteriver, AZ. She is involved in assisting the ID team in studies being conducted to help spread awareness and better understand the ailments of White Mountain Apache community. Prior to joining the team, Quinta was a home maker, raising her 2 children and caring for her farm animal. Now that her children are of school age, she is eager to help her people and community have a better quality of life through her work as a Research Program Assistant, promoting and recruiting members of the White Mountain Apache tribe to participate and thus also helping their people.

Quinta has an Applied Science Degree in Automotive from Northland Pioneer College and has undergone training and gained certificates appropriate for working with Johns Hopkins as a Research Program Assistant. Her future includes more school in the health field in hopes of helping her community obtain longevity through healthy habits.
