Biography
Summer Todecheene’s clans are Biih Bitoodnii, Tl’aash chii’i, Naakai Dine, To’aheedliinii. She started working with John Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health in summer 2024 as a Research Program Assistant at the Chinle site, focusing on the Family Spirit Nurture program.
Summer is a mother to a 7-year-old girl named Nova, and they enjoy staying healthy and active. In 2023, she earned her bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Grand Canyon University and in 2021 earned her Associate’s degree in liberal arts at Diné College.
Summer has experience working and caring for people with disabilities, an experience that inspired her to work in the healthcare field. Her overall goal is to improve the community she works and lives in and to support her team members at JHCIH. A few of her personal interests are working out, cooking/baking and gardening.
