Biography
Taishiana is a member of the Navajo Nation and is One Who Walks Around Clan (Honaghaanii), born for Water’s Edge Clan (Tabaaha). Her maternal grandparents are Black Sheep Clan (Dibe Lizhini) and her paternal grandparents are Water Flowing Together Clan (To’heedliinii). She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in September of 2022 as a Research Assistant in Fort Defiance, Arizona.
Taishiana has a BA degree in Sociology from Susquehanna University. If she is not with her family or close friends, she enjoys reading fantasy, science fiction, and the latest releases from Indigenous authors and researchers varying from Tommy Orange to Winona LaDuke.
