Biography

Tanya, a member of the Dine Nation, is Todich’ii’nii (Bitter Clan), born for the Tsenjikini (Honey Combed Rock People Clan). Her maternal grandfather is Kinyaa’aanii (Towering House Clan) and her paternal grandfather is Honaghaahnii (One Who Walks Around Clan). She joined the Center in June 2006. She works at the Fort Defiance, AZ site as a Research Program Assistant.

She has worked with the Infectious Disease and Behavioral Health Teams on the Respiratory Syncytial Virus study, Family Spirit study, and Together on Diabetes study. Tanya is currently wrapping up the Family Spirit Nurture study as well as working on water projects that began during the COVID-19 pandemic.
