Tina Minjarez

Biography

Tina is a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe from the Bazaha Clan (adobe cut bank people) and Hispanic. She joined the Center for Indigenous Health in March of 2020 as a Research Program Assistant in Whiteriver Arizona. Tina works on the Southwest Hub and Elders Resiliency programs. She also assisted with the COVID-19 outreach program.

Prior to joining the Center, she worked with special needs children and was a teacher’s assistant in area middle schools. Tina enjoys working individually, confidently and traditionally with the Apache People.

She has an AA in business from Phoenix College and is working on her degree in elementary education. She also attends classes through the the Center’s Summer/Winter Institute. Her interests outside of work are spending time with her grandchildren and sewing traditional clothing.
