Guuwáátsíí (Hello)! On my pueblo, our elders have always encouraged all community members, young and the gracefully aged to get educated and to continue their education so we can return to our community to help our people. My community suffers from high rates of diabetes, hypertension, chronic

kidney disease, and cirrhosis. Studying at Johns Hopkins will help me better screen and educate our population, and develop programs in our communities and in our health facilities.
